CHOOSE EXCELLENCE

Why Train with Sifu Perry

Sifu Dewie Perry’s teaching methodology stands out through his focus on unaltered tradition, elite lineage preservation, and highly structural, peer-to-peer training dynamics.  His approach to Kung Fu rejects modern "watered-down" blends in favor of highly concentrated, real-world application.

The primary pillars that make Sifu Perry’s Wing Chun instruction unique include:

Certified Preservation of the Ip Man Lineage

• Authentic Certification:  He is officially certified through the Ving Tsun Athletic Association (VTAA) in Hong Kong, the original organization established to protect Grandmaster Ip Man's legacy.

• Closed-Door Disciple:  Sifu Perry is a third-generation practitioner and a closed-door disciple of Grandmaster Samuel Kwok. This guarantees that students learn the complete, unaltered system without shortcuts.

The "3 P's" Instructional Philosophy

• Core Formula:  His 30+ years of teaching martial arts are built on a strict mechanical philosophy: 1. Proper technique, 2. Proper execution, and 3. Practice.

• Deflection over Collision:  His classes stress the fundamental principle to "deflect, feed, and control—do not fight," training students to completely bypass an opponent's brute strength using geometry and center-line physics.

Co-Mingled Studio Environment

• Side-by-Side Training:  Unlike schools that strictly separate classes by rank, Sifu Perry's Kwoon runs a single focused class where complete beginners and advanced students train together.

• Dynamic Skill Building:  This shared environment allows new students to feel correct tactile feedback from senior practitioners immediately, accelerating their confidence and positioning.

• Strict Class Caps:  Instruction takes place inside a private studio with a strict 10-student limit per class to ensure personalized mentorship and microscopic technical adjustments.

Class Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7pm - 8pm
